In this course, we will explore the unique challenges that high school athletes face that impact their health and athletic performance and how to overcome them. Athletes often struggle with overall energy availability to accomplish their daily and athletic activities which have significant health and performance consequences that must be addressed. Practical strategies on how to address these issues will be discussed.

- Explore common sources of athletic departments spending patterns.
- Identify the role of a Sports Dietician on the sports medicine team.
- Describe practical strategies to improve an athlete’s eating habits.
