How to Document with Limited Time: Appropriate Documentation for the AT (ESSAT BA-2)


Join Larry Cooper, Bart Peterson, Randy Cohen, and Labiba Russo for this imperative CEU course for all athletic trainers. Although this course was developed for secondary school athletic trainers, many of the same principles can be applied in collegiate and other clinical settings.


  • Participants will be able to recognize Best Practices in record keeping and documentation as a licensed athletic trainer.
  • Participants will begin formulating their personal record-keeping and documentation philosophy and plan.
  • Participants will classify the recommendations of documentation from the NATA Documentation Position Statement
  • Participants will create and apply a personal documentation model for their practice based on best practices and current legal standards.
